We collect personal information necessary to provide our premium rental services. This includes your name, email, phone number, and driver's license details for identity verification. We also collect vehicle telematics (such as GPS location and vehicle status) during your rental period to ensure safety and security.
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Mongoori Rides does not store your full credit card information on our servers. Stripe's use of your personal information is governed by their Privacy Policy which can be viewed at stripe.com. We rely on their PCI-compliant infrastructure to keep your financial data safe.
Your data allows us to manage your bookings, verify your eligibility to drive, and provide customer support. We use vehicle location data strictly for emergency assistance, theft recovery, and boundary monitoring (Geofencing).
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with trusted partners required to fulfill our service, such as insurance providers and Stripe for payment processing. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Mongoori Rides sends SMS/text messages only for transactional purposes related to your account and rentals — for example booking confirmations, pickup and return reminders, payment and EV-charging receipts, and account or safety notices. Text messaging is optional: you consent by checking the SMS box on the driver application, which is not pre-checked and is not required to apply, be approved, or rent a vehicle. We still collect your phone number for the rental itself and verify it with a one-time passcode, but we do not text you about your rental unless you have opted in. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, and reply HELP for help; opting out does not affect your account or your rental. Mongoori Rides does NOT share your mobile phone number or your SMS opt-in consent with any third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes; mobile opt-in information is used solely to deliver our own service messages. Mongoori Rides is headquartered in Irvine, California and is subject to the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). California residents have the following rights: (a) Right to Know — you may request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources of collection, the business purposes for collection, and the categories of third parties with whom we share your information; (b) Right to Delete — you may request deletion of personal information we have collected, subject to certain exceptions required by law; (c) Right to Correct — you may request correction of inaccurate personal information we maintain about you; (d) Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing — Mongoori Rides does not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising; (e) Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information — we collect sensitive information (driver's license number, vehicle telematics) solely for the purpose of providing our service and for safety and security purposes. You may request that we limit use of sensitive personal information to these disclosed purposes; (f) Right to Non-Discrimination — we will not discriminate against you (deny service, charge different prices, or provide a different level of service) for exercising any of your CCPA/CPRA rights. We will respond within 45 days as required by California law. You may designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf.
Mongoori Rides does not sell personal information to third parties. We do not share personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes. If our practices change in the future, we will update this policy and provide you with a clear opt-out mechanism at least 30 days before any such change takes effect. We retain your account and booking data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. ID documents and transaction records may be retained for a longer period where required by law or for dispute resolution.

Our service is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us so we can delete it.
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of California, United States. Mongoori Rides operates from Irvine, California. Any disputes arising under this Privacy Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Orange County, California. We comply with applicable California privacy laws including the CCPA, CPRA, and the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA).
